Leandra Campbell

MSW, LCSW

Leandra Campbell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to clients in Florida with a focus on empowering and healing women of color. Born in New York to Italian and Jamaican parents, her family moved and raised her in South Florida.

She completed her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Florida International University and later obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. While in graduate school, her first internship involved providing wellness visits to elderly clients in their homes and at her second internship she provided individual and group therapy at a substance abuse & mental health treatment center which immediately hired her upon graduation. She also completed a study abroad trip to Ireland where she learned about social work abroad, met with social work professors at University College Dublin, and visited different Irish Social Work agencies.

After working for 3 years at substance abuse & mental health treatment centers, she transitioned to working in private practice which she has been doing for the last 2 years. With 5 years of clinical work, Leandra has experience working with diverse populations and a wide variety of mental health issues. As someone who has received psychotherapy services herself, she understands the benefits it can provide and it motivates her to make a difference in others by positively impacting their mental health. Leandra believes that therapy is all about “insight” and that the right therapeutic environment will lead to the discovery of new insights about a person’s thoughts and behaviors that will allow them to enact positive change in their lives.
